What is QuadMasters?
Posted Tuesday, April 5, 2005
When we came up with the idea for the Qaudmasters ATV Challenge Tour we envisioned it to be a fun family environment for all ages. The QuadMasters ATV Challenge Tour has built its foundation to be targeted at the “grassroots” Utility ATV Market.
These Outdoor ATV Events, which are designed to be fun yet challenging, while keeping safety at the forefront. With seven different classes offered, the QuadMasters ATV Challenge Tour has something for everyone regardless of age or ability. The challenges are designed with 1st gear technical riding in mind, targeting “Grass Roots” ATV riders of all ages.
We want the events to test the riders both physically and mentally to there highest ability. Are ultimate goal is to create a challenge course that only a select few riders can make it threw, while the other riders sit and wonder wither it’s their ATV or them that is adding to the trials of the ultimate challenge. At the same time all of the spectators and family members are cheering on the riders to make it threw the challenge with the fastest time possible. The riders feeding off both the loads of cheers and distant music in the background push themselves as if they were out in the back trails battling with there buddies for bragging rights.
Not knowing the difficulty of the challenge course the riders end up putting there ATV on in difficult positions, going outside of the designated area costing them penalties or stalling their unit. All will be costly mistakes when you are up against the clock. The clock is the time in witch you have to make it threw each of the individual challenges. The riders will have one minute to make it threw the designated challenge where they will have to keep their ATV unit inside of designated boundaries. If the rider goes outside of the boundaries then he/she will be penalized for that infraction. The reason behind the boundaries is that we want to make the challenges equivalent to what riders would encounter while riding on and off the trails. This will also make the rider utilize their first gear or low range more than ever before, because after all this is not a race.
We also want to instill that safety is our number one priority at each event. Upon completion of an individual challenge the competitor, will only a few seconds to regain their strategy again physically and mentally for the next challenge. The competitor will be on the course for approximately 15 minutes competing at each challenge for the best time in each class.
The QuadMasters courses will consist of (8) different challenges including such elements as: a mud bog, rock crawl, log crawl, bridge walk, plus many more fun challenges along the way. A specialty course designed for Bow Hunters called the “Bow Hunters challenge” is also available for the Skilled Bow hunter to test his/her skills both on and off the ATV. For the little ones that are just starting out in the sport of ATV’ing there will be a separate challenge course designed specifically for the 50’s & 90’s classes for Youths. As stated before this is a fun family environment for all ages and gender. These events are a true testament to the riders and there machines of how good they really are at operating their ATV under intense extreme conditions.
An additional upside about the challenges we have created are that it allows for an equal playing field for all of the competitors. The competitors will have to pick and choose what line they want to take on their way threw each rigorous or technical challenge in order to get a leg up on the competition. Choosing one line over the other could end up being costly and costing them the individual challenge or on the flip side could payoff immensely and reduce their time. That is what makes the individual challenges so fun… the anticipation of what direction to go and how to execute it. Throughout the day the course will change as the competitor’s battle their way threw all the challenges; beating up the ground, making each run different from the last.
QuadMasters ATV Challenge Tour…is a tour that allows for ATV owners of all ages and gender the opportunity to rider their ATV in fun yet challenging and safe environment. We value the importance of fun family entertainment for everyone so when we created the classes we made sure that it was for all ages. This is something that ATV enthusiasts have been wanting for a long time now and it is the perfect time to get involved with what you enjoy the most… family, friends, good times and riding ATV’s. We are looking forward to a successful inaugural year and most importantly meeting all of the great people that make this sport it possible.
See you on the course,
